Catherine and Richard's (Ricky) Hotel DuPont Wedding story began several years ago at Fordham University: "We first met in English class during our freshman year at Fordham. Ricky sat on the other side of the room (he sat with the cool kids close to the door and I was up front with the nerds!), so we didn't talk much in class but we would see each other outside of class every so often and chat. It wasn't until our sophomore year when we ran into each other at the Jolly Tinker, that we realized there were sparks and started dating!"
I love the answer Catherine gave when I asked her "What made you fall in love with Ricky?" "From the start, Ricky made me feel loved and supported. No matter where we were or what we were doing, he always made me feel like the most important person in the room. He can make me laugh when I'm in a bad mood and he loves me at my hangriest. His unwavering confidence and pride in our relationship (and his miraculous patience) made me fall in love with him".
Everything about this wedding day was great! The weather, the locations, the people and of course who doesn't love a Hotel DuPont Wedding!
Here are some of my favorites from their day:
Father/Daughter First Look
Always a special moment when a father sees his baby on her wedding day!
A Message from the Bride
We will forever be grateful to Ralph and his team for not only our beautiful wedding photos but also the memories they helped us create on our big day. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so it’s important to have someone who takes stunning photos and is also fun to be around. Ralph kept us calm, made us laugh, and supported us through the whole day while capturing every important moment. By the end of the day Ralph and his team were part of the family (we didn’t want them to leave)!
After the wedding, we had so much fun creating our album with Ralph and reliving the day through our pictures.
We recommend Ralph and his team enough to anyone looking for a photographer!
Bride and Groom Session at Longwood Gardens
I was thrilled that Catherine and Richard decided on Longwood Gardens for their bride/groom session! It's not too far from Hotel DuPont in Wilmington Delaware but it's far enough that you're taking a little bit of a gamble with the potential traffic. We had to hustle while we were there but it was so worth the time!!
The Heartbeats did a beautiful rendition of Etta James "At Last" for Catherine and Ricky's first dance.
