Ballroom at Ellis Preserve | Katie and Joe

We had our first of three visits this year to the beautiful Ballroom at Ellis Preserve recently for Katie and Joe's wedding day! I always look forward to working at any of Finley Catering's venues. The staff is always friendly, take great care of our couples and each venue has an interesting history!

Getting ready for the girls took place at the Radnor Hotel in Wayne PA while the guys got ready at Joe's parents home in nearby Havertown. Since the Bride and Groom met while attending Villanova University, they decided to have their ceremony at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the University's campus. It had been a while since I had one of my couples get married there and it was really nice to be back...such a stunning location! Katie and Joe decided to keep things traditional and not have a first look before the ceremony. The wait was definitely worth it! Katie looked absolutely incredible as she walked down the aisle with her Dad!

After the ceremony we walked out to one of the courtyards near the church for some images with the VERY fun and amusing bridal party. They were a great group...perfect blend of fun and crazy and but never got too out of control.

We finished out the rest of the day by starting with some images with Katie and Joe on the grounds at Ballroom at Ellis Preserve. We had beautiful light in the sky by the time we got to the venue which made for a gorgeous backdrop when combined with the surroundings of the venue.

Slippery Band kept the dance floor packed all night and we managed to pull Katie and Joe away from the party for one last set of shots in front of the venue. The team from Ballroom at Ellis Preserve took the time to light and place dozens of candles for our night shot and the image wouldn't have been the same without them helping us...thanks guys!
